HistoryJulius Dees, Jr. (1925-2002), H. M. Giles, Jr. (retired) and Charles R. Tedder (retired) began practicing law together in the 1960’s. Charles M. Tate joined the firm in 1972, and T. M. (Mark) Gaylord, Jr. in 1979. In the mid 1980’s the firm name was changed to Dees, Giles, Tedder, Tate and Gaylord. With the admission of new partners and the retirement of the most senior members, the firm name was again changed in 2002 to Tate, Gaylord, Lucas, Purdom and Workman, LLP in order to reflect its current composition. After many years in the downtown area, the firm moved it’s location in 1993 to the present office at 3608 West Friendly Avenue, at the corner of Friendly and Holden Road and known as the Friendly-Holden Building. This location provides abundant and convenient, free ground level parking with easy access to our first floor offices with easy wheel chair accessibility, close proximity to commercial and banking interests in Greensboro, and a neighborhood environment for our clients. All of our attorneys are licensed by and in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar, and are members of the Greensboro Bar Association, the North Carolina Bar Association, and sections of the Association dedicated to advancement of professional competence in our practice areas. We are personally and professionally committed to the highest standards of legal ethics. |
